One fall in the late sixties, the JanSport team heard that students were using the brand’s small cross country daypacks to cross campus instead. It made sense with comfortable padded straps, and easy access front panel opening and catch resistant nylon zippers the bags were just as great for carrying books as they were for carrying gear. Seeing the potential the team made a few notebook worthy design adjustments including the addition of a durable vinyl base to improve weight capacity. Soon after, JanSport began selling the first ever campus backpacks into college bookstores around the country. The Superbreak Deluxe brings creative graphics to the Super Break giving it urban street cred.

Cute backpack
A cute backpack that I bought for college. I chose the grey dots/stars pattern and I always get compliments on it. It fits my 15 in. laptop, three medium textbooks (two large ones), water bottle, wallet, keys, etc. Lots of room and quite handy ^_^

Perfect Pack
I love Kelty! After purchasing (and loving) a Kelty Tioga 5000 for a 5-day excursion through southwest Yellowstone last summer, I came back for more when I needed to replace my day pack. It was a top loading JanSport Bridger 40 (which I also loved). The panel loading is awesome on the Redwing without compromising strength, thanks to compression straps. It has plenty of room for an overnight but compactable if you’re just carrying a couple things on a short day hike. It’s plenty tough, water resistant and has lots of pockets and accessories without feeling like overkill. You can’t go wrong with Kelty.

Great product!
I am very happy with this bag. It actually holds my 17″ wide screen laptop and all my school books too. It does feel a little cheap feelings compared to other Jansport bags I have had in the past, but overall a good back pack. Not to mention the design is pretty cool!

Backpack for college
I bought this backpack for my daughter for college and she seems to like it. It’s pretty roomy and can hold quite a bit. No complaints from her. She’s always used JanSport backpacks as far as I can remember. Pretty top quality stuff.

Roomy enough to fit everything you need!
I have owned JanSport bags before, but nothing like this bag.
It has TONS upon TONS of space. I could put things in all of the pockets and it even comes with a section for a laptop! It made my life a whole lot better during school, because I carry around a lot of stuff.

It, however, isn’t a good bag to bring through security checkpoints in airports. I got stopped multiple times by security (due to roomyness of the backpack’s interior), but it didn’t matter. I had all of the things I need in that bag to my airplane ride go faster!

Overall, it gets 4 stars for me!
