Dakine Mission Pack – good all-around choice
For everyday daypack use I picked the Dakine Mission Pack out of the rest of their lineup. It has only one internal zippered pocket, but it is large enough to hold all your small stuff, coins, etc. The four external small gear / camera / goggle pockets are well designed and easy to access and nicely lined with soft fabric.

Two main zippered-access compartments separate your gear nicely, and the laptop sleeve is flexible enough to not limit use on the mountain or bike. Board carry straps may get in the way at times, and might put strain on the outer zippered pocket when in use.

Excellent Backpack for Snowboarding or General Use
I bought this pack and purchased the Dakine photo block separately to go with it. I wanted the Dakine Mission Photo pack but I also wanted the laptop sleeve that this pack has and the Mission Photo pack doesn’t so that I could have some versatility.

This pack doesn’t have the large zipper on the shoulder strap side of the pack to access the contents of the main compartment like the Mission Photo Pack, so inserting the photo block was tight and didn’t allow a completely easy access to all the padded photo compartments, but for what I needed it was fine.

I took this backpack up to Mt. Snow Vermont for three days of snowboarding, loading up my camera gear consisting of a Canon Rebel Digital SLR and extra lenses, water bottles, and other items. I found the pack to be very rugged and comfortable to the point that I almost forgot I was wearing it during my runs. The photo block protected the camera gear from damage even after several wipe outs.

The Mission Pack is tough with comfortable shoulder straps, chest strap and a waist strap. I found that the waist strap helps keep the pack in place when you catch an edge and find yourself upended with gravity and momentum deciding your fate. Most of the time I rode with just the shoulder straps and chest strap in place.

The board straps allow you to carry your board on your back. I found this helpful since I was getting over a shoulder injury that tended to ache when carrying anything for very long. I had an extra pair of goggles in the goggle compartment the whole weekend that I completely forgot about, and even after several rough landings they were in perfect shape.

The third day I remembered the water bottle pocket. This is a clever little feature that looks like a pocket until you open it up and it becomes a water bottle carrier complete with a drawstring. It held a 16oz. bottle of water without a problem (didn’t try it with anything larger but it seemed like a 20oz bottle would fit), and I never lost a bottle even after a few spills.

Overall I found this to be an excellent choice for snowboarding and would work for a lot of other uses including day-to-day work. I would highly recommend it.

The bag runs “slightly” big to my liking, but I cannot deny the fact that its generous capacity is incredibly useful. I wear this commuting to school, for hiking, and just as a laptop carrier.
Definitely recommending this.

Pretty, functional bookbag
This bookbag is awesome! It’s really the best bookbag I’ve ever owned. I’m in graduate school and I use this all the time, and I really think it’ll be the first bookbag I’ve owned that won’t get all beat up and ripped looking pretty soon. I bought it back in March, and it’s still bright and not dirty at all! I bought the Pink Plaid variety.

This bag has a million pockets, and it’s so nice and roomy. I can fit everything I need in here. There’s a front insulated pocket for food or a drink (right now I have two pairs of flip-flops in there so you know how big it is), a bigger middle pocket that has several smaller slots for an mp3 player, your pens, cords, headphones, whatever…and a very, very roomy main pocket. Right now in the main pocket I have my Wii, 4 Wii games in the cases, a game controller, my Nintendo DS and that game case, a folder, and a book, and there’s still room for my 13.3″ computer (I know because I just took it out) and my external hard drive. Just so you know, there’s an extra laptop pocket in the main pocket. There’s also a felt-lined pocket on top of the bag that’s made for sunglasses, but I store my computer adapter in there (don’t wear sunglasses) and two small pockets on the side…not sure what you could keep in there, but you can reach them while the bag’s on your back.

With all that stuff loaded up on my back I don’t even feel the heavy weight of it all unless I’ve had the bag on my back for a few hours. The back and straps are padded to relieve pain (which is a BIG draw for me because I have chronic back pain) and the cloth the bookbag is made out of is very durable. I have been telling everyone where I got this bookbag from, and I get compliments on its style all the time. Honestly, one of the best $45 you’ll spend. Shell out the extra money and get a durable bookbag…your back will thank you (and so will your pocket when you don’t need another one a year from now).

Cute and Functional – Just what I needed
I needed a backpack for school that will accommodate a laptop and a couple of books while looking good. This backpack is exactly what I needed. All my stuff fits in comfortably. Straps are nice and sturdy and they don’t cut into my shoulders. Material is durable, stitching is good quality. I like the rubbery inside which makes the bag waterproof (I did not test it in pouring rain but whatever ran off my umbrella did not get through). Nice front pocket for your pens, phone, etc. Insulated cooler pocket is a nice touch but I don’t use it for lunch and such. It is really deep lengthwise but not deep enough front to back to hold anything thicker than a regular sandwich or maybe a banana (but you can stack a lot of bananas and sandwiches ). Side pockets are awesome! Both can fit a regular plastic water bottle but one has a mesh and drawstring inside so it expands to hold your bigger fancy water bottles (or whatever else). This backpack is super cute too! Definitely a girly print (poodles and tiny cars) but I like that. I got a lot of compliments on this backpack.

Fricken Amazing!!
So I am A typical college student with a ton of books! It fits them all and everything in between. I also commute on the bus and it works really well for that. The water bottle pocket is really tight. I have gotten ton of complements on how cute it is!! Its a chick back pack and the inside has blue polka dots and a compartment for a labtop!!!
